Hydraulic Cylinder Bay Technician – Sussex                    

Up to £32,000.00 Per Annum + Relocation Offered For Exceptional Applicants

We are now seeking an experienced Cylinder Bay Technician to be part of an EASA and FAA  Part 145 approved Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul organisation based in Crawley, West Sussex. Specialising in Wheels, Safety Equipment and Electrical Equipment for the aviation industry.

Previous Aviation experience is highly desired.

Purpose:

·      To test, repair and overhaul cylinder and valve assemblies.

·      Strip down valve assemblies

·      Replace standard spares as per OEM Component Maintenance Manual

·      Inspect piece parts and replace defective items

·      Rebuilding of valve components once cleaned and defective parts replaced

·      Testing of valve assemblies.

·      Hydrostatic testing of cylinder in accordance with DOT requirements.

·      Re-assembly and charging of cylinder and valve assembly.

·      Term: Permanent

·      Location: West Sussex

·      Salary: Up to £32,000.00

·      Hours: Standard weekly hours

·      Relocation offered for exceptional candidates

Requirements:

·      Experience in a Cylinder shop, overhauling and refilling mixed gas and / or oxygen cylinders.   

·      Numerate and Literate – minimum GCSE Maths & English

·      Engineering qualification would be beneficial.

·      Aviation experience highly desired
